Guide: Maria Eitel, chairman of the Nike Foundation, wrote an article on January 26 expressing its expectations for the World Economic Forum and the issues it hopes to focus on and address. In particular, he stressed that women should be given full attention in the process of achieving a global economic recovery and rebuilding Haiti. The following is the article passage: On the morning of 26th, I arrived at Davos, Switzerland with other representatives of Nike, to attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. The Tuesday before the annual forum is like a calm before the storm. The meeting held a venue in Davos and the town is still quiet, and it is believed that most of the Tuesday will be used by delegates to ease the fatigue of long-distance flights and adjust jet lag. For me, this Tuesday of the year is like the eve of a big game. Everyone will spend 5 days in a place that brings together the most sophisticated political and business ideas in the world. I also became very excited and looked at the agenda carefully and planned how to get in touch with key figures, old friends and new partners in the maze of people. I have been very concerned about many aspects of the annual meeting, such as the opening reception of President Nicolas Sarkozy of France, what will be the new standard for global growth, and how the growing number of women wallets can change the market and the world. Of course, I am particularly excited about the influence of women on the world stage. The Symposium attaches great importance to women's power to "rethink, reset, and reconstruct" our world. Moreover, the crisis in Haiti is rightly one of the key issues of the annual meeting. In fact, the Forum leadership has restructured the annual agenda for Haiti, with a special set of elements for support for disaster relief and for the reconstruction of Haiti. I am looking forward to seeing how this special rally will solve the Haitian crisis. In accordance with the World Economic Forum, the Clinton Global Initiative and the Joint United Nations initiative, a plenary meeting will be held in Thursday to proclaim global cooperation to help Haiti develop its economy. This initiative is not only in line with the theme of this year's meeting, but it also shows the true meaning of global cooperation. I am looking forward to understanding what the World Economic Forum groups are doing for Haiti or for Haiti. In any case, I believe that better rebuilding of Haiti after the disaster must focus on the core of its population-the female population. When certain areas are attacked by natural disasters, the particular vulnerabilities and needs of female groups are often overlooked. In areas where women were already marginalized, natural disasters exacerbated the situation. Women are often the last to have access to food, resources and basic social networks. I hope that when we discuss how to rebuild Haiti, women can be a central part of our strategy. We must ensure that humanitarian considerations also take into account the safety and well-being of women. I think we have to really rebuild Haiti, to ensure that women also have the power to use safe havens, to provide services to reduce violence against women and to know the number of women, so that the distribution ofDrinking water, food and other necessities can be reached directly into women's hands.
