Chengdu Cloud Computing Center is based on the cooperation agreement reached between Chengdu Municipal government and Shuguang company in April this year, the first large-scale and practical cloud computing Center in China, supported by the government and invested by Shuguang company. The center is based on the latest 5000 series architecture, using the Intel Dual 4 core and 4-way 6 core CPU high-density blade server and High-performance rack-type server, through the InfiniBand network and gigabit network to achieve high-speed interconnection. The center construction goal for peak computing capacity of 200 trillion times per second, the total investment scale of about 350 million, is the leading, the Midwest region's largest cloud computing base. At present, the first phase of the project has been completed, a total of 300 nodes, to 30 trillion times per second computing capacity. As a major project in West hub of Chengdu, Chengdu Cloud Computing Center and Chengdu International Data communication direct circuit, data storage disaster preparation center and so on constitute the Western Hub basic technology bearing system.

Chengdu Cloud Computing Center is the first commercial operation of the Super Center, but also the first domestic government applications and scientific computing services for the Super Center, but also the first large-scale practical computing center.
