Cloud computing has been more than five years into the world of vision for all of us, with a large number of Internet-related products and services tagged as cloud concepts during these five years. Through its rich experience, Alistair Croll, an authoritative cloud computing expert, has expressed his opinion that cloud computing is finally coming to a relatively mature stage. In the Chinese market, after experiencing all kinds of unscrupulous and flyy speculation, the concern for the cloud computing we have begun to return to the rational up, from the concept of pure communication to technology applications. Although relative to the United States, Japan and other pioneers of cloud computing, cloud computing in China is still in development. Although domestic high-performance infrastructure and software capabilities are still weak, they are still in pace with international standards in various ways.
Recently, the Business Software Alliance released a report titled "BSA Global Cloud Computing Scorecard" on Wednesday from data privacy, information security, cybercrime, intellectual property, technology interoperability, legal environment and free trade And IT infrastructure in seven areas, assessing the cloud computing capabilities of 24 countries, accounting for 80% of the global economy, to explore the extent to which the countries surveyed are in line with the globalization market, with China ranking fourth from the bottom. BSA pointed out that one of the two major reasons behind China's cloud computing deficiencies is the cloud computing standard.
Currently, the standardization of cloud computing in the world has become a hot spot. According to Dr. Li Zhixiao of Century Internet, "Cloud computing standards involve the allocation of national strategic resources and security issues, and in the future whoever formulates cloud computing standards will have the right to speak." Internationally, organizations established by key enterprises are vigorously promoting cloud computing standardization, A number of organizations and groups are already working on the standardization of cloud computing. At present, the research on cloud computing standardization in the world mainly aims at five directions of cloud computing design standards:
1. Definitions and Ecosystems, including Cloud Computing Definitions, Terminology, Use Cases, Functions, Ecosystems, Deployment, etc.
2. Cloud computing architecture and management, including functional architecture, modeling, deployment, management, monitoring, operational support, quality management and service level agreements;
3. Cloud computing service interface, interoperability interface, including user and cloud computing business-level interaction standards and different cloud interoperability standards;
4. Cloud computing infrastructure and networks, including standards for defining functions, performance, portability and other aspects of data center, computing, storage, network (LAN, WAN) resources in cloud computing infrastructures;
5. Cloud computing security and privacy, and user security, data integrity, availability, confidentiality, privacy, compliance audit related standards.
Since 2009, various cloud computing standardization organizations have started work on various cloud computing standards one after another, and more than ten organizations are promoting the process of international cloud standardization. At present, there are standards such as Amazon EC2 and EBS, DMTF, SNIA, Open Grid Forum OGF, Cloud Computing Interoperability Forum CCIF, Cloud Security Alliance CSA, Open Cloud Alliance OCC, TMForum The OpenGroup, the National Laboratory of the United States NIST, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute ETSI, the Cloud Standard Customer Council CSCC, Open Data Center Alliance ODCA and other organizations are also actively involved in standard setting. The current draft standards basically cover the entire life cycle of cloud computing.
In China, the development of the standard is still in its infancy, and the current standardization of the industry focuses mainly on the standardization of cloud computing infrastructure layer (IaaS). CCSA, CESI and other organizations have also started the research and planning of cloud computing related service standards. Enterprises such as Ali, Huawei, China Mobile, China Unicom and Century Internet also participate in the work of standard-setting, and combine the domestic cloud computing environment and applications to establish China's cloud computing system and industry standards so as to realize the rapid promotion of our cloud computing industry And copy.
Century Internet Dr. Li Zhixiao pointed out: the determination of the industry standard will be more effective in helping cloud in China to break away from the advocacy into practical and universal application. The start of standard work also marks China's cloud computing is closely following the international pace of the actual commercial stage of maturity.
