The Geneva electric reporter 陈建 reported: The 2015 Information Economy Report of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) said that among the 130 economies in the world, small European economies were the most developed in the field of "Business for consumer E-commerce" and that developing economies were catching up quickly, In fact, China has become the world's largest "business consumer E-commerce" market.
According to the latest annual report, the top 10 economies in the "Business for consumer E-commerce" index are Luxembourg, Norway, Finland, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Denmark, South Korea, Britain and Israel. In both developing and emerging economies, East Asia, including South Korea and Singapore, and in particular China, have actually become the world's largest market for "Business-to-business consumer E-commerce". Meanwhile, Brazil, China and Russia have done better than expected this year in terms of net purchase rates.
UNCTAD said that the current global "business to Consumer E-commerce" transactions in the amount of 1.2 trillion U.S. dollars a year, compared to the "business (business-to-business) E-commerce," the annual amount of up to 15 trillion dollars in the total transaction is much smaller. However, "business to consumer E-commerce" is developing rapidly, especially in Asia and Africa. By 2018, developing and transition economies are expected to account for around 40% per cent of global "business-consumer E-commerce" transactions, while the share of developed economies will fall from 70% to 60%.
The report also analyses the constraints that developing economies face in developing "business-to-business consumer electronic commerce", such as the need for postal services to reach thousands of households in Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Atlantic, and in Africa where the development of e-commerce is constrained by low Internet access rates.
The report notes that, as developing economies further improve Internet access rates, create new E-commerce software platforms and payment instruments, and enable local E-commerce companies to provide marketable products and services to local markets, these economies "Enterprise consumer E-commerce" will be further expanded.
