In Windows software, 40% applications rely on ads, in WP applications, 29% rely on advertising. In addition, Microsoft itself provides the advertising development interface, contributing 30%-40% of the application of advertising revenue.

In the WP application, the most important revenue model for the application of consumer purchases, accounting for 44%, paid applications accounted for only 26%.

Microsoft also provides a valuable analysis for developers: downloading the device's memory distribution. Developers can optimize the software accordingly. Data shows that WP downloads, 66% from the low Memory mobile phone (WP7 below 256MB,WP8 less than 512MB), the rest from the high memory phone.
