The 200 billion-dollar registered capital of China Investment Co., Ltd. (CIC) announced 17th, the Central Huijin Company has replaced the CIRC, China Reinsurance (group) Company (hereinafter referred to as the group) of the leadership management. The group has 6 subsidiaries, including reinsurance, direct insurance, asset management, insurance brokerage and media. April 11, 2007, CIC's investment subsidiary, Central Huijin, injected $4 billion into the group to help it complete its restructuring, making the group's capital strength the largest in Asia and the world's fifth in the same industry. With the completion of the capital restructuring, Central Huijin holds a 85.5% per cent stake in the group, while the Treasury holds the remaining 14.5% per cent.
