China super-American PC market

"This is the last one or two years it business executives hanging on the tip of the tongue."　　China overtook the US as the world's largest PC market for the first time in the second quarter, data from IDC, a market research firm, confirmed yesterday. Blaine Mar, IDC analyst, said yesterday that PC shipments in the Chinese market in the second quarter of this year grew 14% to 18.5 million. PC shipments in the U.S. market fell 4.8% to 17.7 million. China has become the world's largest PC market.　　In terms of shipments, China accounts for 22% of the global market, 1% higher than the US. Blaine Mar said that this year China's market PC shipments will reach 72.4 million units, about 1 million less than the United States.　　2012, the Chinese market, PC shipments are expected to surpass the U.S. market 76.6 million units, become the world's first. Currently, HP and Dell still occupy the top two of global PC shipments, with market share of 18.1% and 12.9%, but three to five have changed. Lenovo surpassed Acer as the third, occupying 12.2% per cent of the market, while Acer retreated to fourth and Asus ranked fifth.
