China to conduct nuclear inspection of imported food in Japan

As a result, agricultural and forestry products in Japan, as well as agricultural and forestry products imported from Japan, processed foods, food additives and health food are included in the scope of radiation inspection. "As a precautionary measure, the agri-Food and Veterinary Bureau of Singapore will test the source of Japanese products and the risks of potential radioactive contamination," The Singapore Food and Veterinary Bureau said in a statement March 14. We will give priority to the detection of fresh produce.  The statement also said that the sample will be tested for radioactivity, while continuing to closely monitor the situation and developments in Japan.  As a precautionary measure, the Philippine authorities have recently tested radiation levels on food imported from Japan. Malaysian Health Minister Rio Chengle recently said the Malaysian government will closely monitor fresh fish and fishery products from Japan, fruit and fruit products, cereals, beverages and canned food.
