China's cloud computing still faces four challenges

January 21, 2013, in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China Cloud Industry Alliance, "cloud computing technology and Industry white Paper" V1.0 (hereinafter referred to as "white Paper"), a grand launch, as China's cloud computing field to provide forward-looking insights and pre-award of the "cloud computing technology and Industry white paper" V1.0 officially released.

The white paper makes an in-depth analysis of the development of cloud computing technology and standards in China, and puts forward a series of suggestions to promote the development of cloud computing technology and safeguard measures to promote the landing of industries.

The White paper pointed out that although the cloud computing in the rapid development, but from the start, research and development, application, promotion and other aspects, in China, the development time is relatively late, so also face the following four issues:

1 Cloud Data center deployment structure is not reasonable, resource utilization is low. Statistics show that in terms of scale structure, China's large-scale data center is low, large data center development scale is not even a foreign Internet company Total, at present has not achieved intensive, large-scale construction.

2 Cloud service capacity needs to be improved, supporting resources are scarce. The domestic cloud computing service capability and the United States and other developed countries still have a big gap, public cloud computing services, the scale of relatively small, business is relatively single, supporting the construction of the environment behind. As companies such as Google and Amazon accelerate their layout around the world and China, the risk of cloud computing services being concentrated offshore will increase.

3 Information security laws and regulations and regulatory system is not sound. In the aspects of data and privacy protection and security management related to cloud computing, China's cloud computing industry has a great lack of ecology. Meanwhile, cloud computing services are also less used in China than in developed countries such as the US, due to security concerns and other concerns.

4 cloud talent gap, lack of mature business model. According to the data, China's cloud computing talent gap reached millions and 2012 's cloud-related jobs grew by more than 150%. Cloud industry needs the integration and development of it and CT, and the cultivation and construction of compound talents, so it is very important to integrate the subject and cultivate the compound talents.

Currently in China, cloud computing as a new area is still in the development period, we need to seize market opportunities to promote the sustainable and healthy development of cloud computing.
