Beijing June 30 News reporter Zhu Jianhong reported: National Bureau of Statistics, the State Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Bureau today jointly released the 2008 autonomous regions, the central government unit GDP energy consumption, unit industry added value energy consumption, unit GDP consumption and other indicators bulletin. According to the bulletin, China's energy consumption per unit of GDP decreased by 4.59% in 2008. The energy consumption of unit industry decreased by 8.43%, and the consumption of unit GDP decreased by 3.3%. According to the communiqué, the top three per cent of the energy consumption of GDP in 2008 was Shanxi, Beijing and Tianjin, which fell by 7.39%, 7.36% and 6.85% respectively, with the lowest decline in Hainan, Xinjiang and Sichuan, down 2.55%, 3.15% and 3.55% respectively.
