The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a subsidiary of the United Nations, released the annual global Internet Report "2013 Information Society Analysis" in Monday. The report shows that by the end of 2013, the world's overall information and computing technology development rankings, South Korea ranked first, mainland China ranked 78, in the middle of the world level. Domestic broadband is indicated to have moisture in the ITU's ranking of information and computing technology development, South Korea ranked first for two consecutive years, Hong Kong and Macao in China also entered the top 20, while the level of information technology development in mainland China ranked only the 78th place in the world, not only with the developed countries in Europe and America, even with Antigua and Barbuda, Trinidad And Tobago such as the Latin American island countries, there is no small gap. Statistics show that, in addition to the influence of population factors, China's information technology development level is relatively uneven, in the total population of small coverage, its international bandwidth level is also far behind the Western developed countries. Statistics show that in 2012, China's per capita international bandwidth level of 4165 bits, compared with the level of the previous year increased by about 54%. But compared with Luxembourg, which has the highest per capita international bandwidth, China is only 0.1% of Luxembourg. China Consumer Association data show that the first half of this year, in the national associations to receive complaints, network Access Service complaints volume ranked third in service complaints. Some media reports say that at present in some communities claiming 50M, the highest can only provide 20M broadband. In addition, for many users, the price of broadband is not cheap. The same broadband speed, the Great Wall broadband-oriented two-tier operators are often only mobile, unicom, telecommunications and other first-class operators of One-second or even one-third. This makes in front of huge price difference, many consumers prefer to choose relatively "water" level two operators. More than 70% of netizens use mobile broadband to report that by the end of 2013, the total number of global Internet users will reach 2.7 billion, of which the number of mobile broadband users reached 2 billion, accounting for about 75% of the total number of Internet users. The surge in the number of mobile broadband users has benefited from the rapid coverage of 3G networks. In the larger countries and regions of the world, 3G commercial services are almost fully covered, which will greatly meet the requirements of mobile Internet high-speed access, and thus promote the rapid growth of mobile internet users. With the continuous upgrading of network technology and the advent of 4G service, mobile Internet will develop rapidly. The ITU estimates that by the end of this year, the number of subscribers to the global use of cellular phones will reach 6.8 billion, accounting for 96.2% of the global population, and almost every person in the world has an Internet-enabled cellular phone.
