August 21, China E-commerce Research Center released the first half of the 2012 China E-commerce market Data Monitoring report. According to the report, China's luxury net shopping market is increasing by the year, as of the first half of 2012, the market size of luxury goods network reached 13.5 billion yuan, 5 times times in 2009.
According to China News agency, Zhou, an assistant analyst at the Chinese E-commerce Research Center, believes that companies selling products and services directly to consumers through the Internet is the mainstream direction of future market development, while the luxury goods sold online as a new business model, for enterprises to increase the space for the future.
China's E-commerce Research Center said that the future of China's two or three-line luxury brands will increase, consumer brands, a wider range of choice, consumers will be more rational to carry out luxury consumption. By 2013, China's luxury shopping market will reach 23.76 billion yuan.
China is becoming the world's largest consumer market for luxury goods as China's affluent population increases and the market for luxury goods continues to expand, with 40% per cent growth in luxury each year.
