"China's PC shipments grew 14% to 18.5 million in the second quarter, surpassing the US for the first time," said Bryan Ma, an analyst at the Bloomberg News website, August 23. U.S. PC shipments fell 4.8% to 17.7 million in the second quarter. In addition, China's second-quarter computer shipments amounted to $11.9 billion trillion, up from 11.7 billion U.S. dollars.
