Chinese and Indian experts gather to cooperate in the era of financial crisis after Kunming study

Xinhua Kunming, January 14 (Fan Su Li Huaiyan) More than 80 from China and India well-known experts, scholars and business representatives gathered in Kunming, Yunnan Province, 14th to discuss the financial crisis and the post crisis era of Sino-Indian cooperation, and the law, policy framework and the feasibility of building a cooperative dialogue mechanism.　　At the opening of the "China (Yunnan)-India Cooperation Forum" on 14th, the Chinese and Indian experts and scholars, with the theme of "Sino-Indian Cooperation under the international financial crisis", hope to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in important areas through interaction and exchange between experts and scholars.　　At present, the financial crisis has not been completely past, the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences South East Asia Institute of Southeast Asian Research, said that the development of China and India need to strengthen cooperation between the two sides to build a platform for people-to-people cooperation and exchanges.　　Sivaland Singh, professor of international relations at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in India, said that the current development of China-India relations should be based on a bird's eye view and a long-term perspective, and actively promote trade and cultural exchanges between China and India, and the Forum is an important manifestation of the positive action of the Academia of China and India.　　The Forum was jointly hosted by Yunnan Provincial Association for Foreign exchange, Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences and South East Asia Research Institute of Yunnan Province. Yunnan is a province of China's neighboring India, the trade volume of Yunnan and India rose to 580 million U.S. dollars in 2008, increasing faster than the same period of growth of the two countries, academic exchanges, the Bangladesh-China-India-Burma regional Economic Cooperation and Development Forum, co-sponsored by Chinese and Indian scholars, has been held 8 consecutive times since 1999.
