Beijing time May 27 morning news, according to foreign media reports, Chrysler said in Tuesday, the company has submitted a total value of 448 million U.S. dollars to the Department of Energy plans to develop electric cars and plug-in hybrids. Chrysler said that if approved, the company's "partners" and the Department of Energy will each provide 224 million of dollars. 83 million dollars will be used to build a new automotive electrification technology and manufacturing center in Michigan.　　The centre is scheduled to be opened in 2010 with an annual output of more than 20,000 vehicles.
