CICS Explorer based on Eclipse's system management tools for connecting CICS TS

This article describes the application of CICS Http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/29809.html ">explorer and plug-in products based on CICS Explorer: CICS Revisit Manager, CICS deployment Assistant; CICS configured Analyzer.

CICS Explorer is a System management tool designed to provide a simple and easy-to-use way to manage one or more cics® systems. Based on the Eclipse platform, it provides a view of some of the CICSPLEX®SM features in CICS Transaction Server and provides a platform for integrating future CICS tools. CICS Explorer also provides an intuitive and secure way to view and edit z/Os datasets and ZFS files, submit JCL, and view output and job logs.

CICS Tool Introduction

The CICS product line core product is: CICS Transaction Server, realizes the transaction management. There are a series of ancillary products, extend the function of CICS Transaction Server, we collectively called this series of CICS Tools. CICS Tools includes two parts: CICS creator Transformation product family, including: CICS Transaction gateway,cics interdependency Analyzer and CICS VSAM transparency; CICS Subsystem Management product family, including: CICS Explorer, CICS Deployment Assistant, CICS revisit Manager, CICS configured Analyzer, Omegamon XE for CICS, managing VSAM and improving end-user access to CICS applications. This article will mainly introduce CICS Explorer, CICS revisit Manager, CICS configured Analyzer plug in product of the CICS Subsystem Management product line class.

The relationship between CICS Explorer and CICS Tool Products

Before IBM CICS Explorer is released, users can manage CICS configuration and monitor CICS performance through 3270 terminals. Users need to have some z/OS and CICS skills, which challenges users and twist teams. With the release of IBM CICS Explorer, many of the products of CICS Tools are also integrated into IBM CICS Explorer as Plug-ins for Explorer.

The following illustration shows the relationship between CICS Tools and IBM CICS Explorer. IBM CICS Explorer is a product based on Eclipse, where users can deploy CICS Tools as Plug-ins to the explorer. The user can complete the configuration and performance monitoring of CICS on the Explorer.

With the integration of CICS Tools and IBM CICS Explorer, users can manage and configure the CICS system more easily and quickly. Users can complete their existing IT operations with smaller twist teams.
