Recently, Cisco announced the launch of a new round of product innovation to meet the wide range of data center and cloud environment needs. In these product innovations, Cisco NEXUS 6000 Series switches are the industry's highest-density GB second and third-tier fixed switches; the seamless, secure, and simple hybrid cloud capabilities of Cisco Nexus 1000V Intercloud connect the corporate private cloud to the carrier cloud. In addition, Cisco has launched the industry's most versatile network programmable controller, further expanding the Cisco Open Network Environment (one) Portfolio lineup. Cisco adheres to the Unified Data center strategy and continues to integrate different network functions into the data Center interchange matrix to support more flexible and efficient automated business operations. At the same time, companies are constantly grappling with emerging industry trends such as cloud computing and open networks.

These innovations can support Cisco's ability to better continue its unified data center strategy to bring better infrastructure flexibility, operational simplicity, and application awareness to data centers and cloudy environments. At the same time, in order to further complement the strategy, Cisco also launched a Cisco one strategy to address the network in all aspects of open networks, programmability and software definition network emerging trends. These links include data centers, parks, cloud and operator deployments.

These technologies evolve through interactions that will help expand, extend, and leverage the network exchange matrices of data centers, cloud and carrier environments, while achieving consistency in physical, virtual, and cloud deployments. With these technologies, enterprise customers will be able to connect to cloudy and mixed environments, expanding their business operations and communication potential, while operators will be able to launch new profitable services while improving flexibility and optimizing infrastructure.

Extended Interchange Matrix

For customers who are very focused on time and with limited data center space, the integration of fast network speeds, lower latency, and higher network port densities will be a priority when they deploy virtualized data centers and migrate to managed cloud environments. Cisco launched the Cisco Nexus 6000 switch today to extend its own differential advantage. This is the world's first 96-port GB wire speed fixed configuration switch, which supports Ethernet and Ethernet Fibre Channel (FCoE), and all ports have a delay of up to 1 microseconds. For example, Nexus 6000 can deliver all the contents of the Library of Congress in just 210 seconds. In addition, Cisco adds a wide range of service modules to its Nexus 7000 series and adds GB uplink capabilities for its Nexus 5000 and 2000 product lines. With these extensions, Cisco's Unified matrix portfolio can now deliver unmatched end-to-end GB solutions. The solution will enable excellent design flexibility for virtual and cloud deployments of converged networks through 10G and 40G FCoE, while further enhancing network transparency.

The Nexus 6000 series further expands Cisco's data center switching portfolio to deliver better deployment flexibility with higher density and scalability. The new Nexus 6000 series features a fixed profile with the highest 10ge/40ge density, bringing unprecedented net transparency and programmability. It uses the industry-leading Cisco Nx-os and has a strong integration of the second and third-tier feature sets.

Nexus 6000 contains two models, Nexus 6004 and Nexus 6001 respectively. Of these, Nexus 6004 is the industry's most high-density switch, providing up to 96 40GE wire-Speed ports (384 10GE wire-speed ports) in a compact 4 RU (Rack-rack) profile. The Nexus 6001 provides 48 ge/10ge-speed fixed ports and 4 40GE uplink ports (or 16 10GE ports) in the 1 RU profile.

The Nexus 6000 series is designed to support high-performance access, foliage-backbone (leaf/spine) architecture, compact aggregation, or high-density fex convergence deployment options to build an extensible Cisco Unified matrix.

Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Network analysis Module (NAM). With the introduction of the first service Blade "Network analysis module", Cisco's flagship data center switch is evolving into a rich service platform. The Network analysis module provides the application awareness and performance analysis capabilities of Cisco Nexus 7000, enabling it to better understand network conditions than ever before, improve application performance, optimize network resources, and manage service delivery more effectively in cloud and virtualized deployments.

Cisco Nexus 2248PQ Interchange Matrix Extender and Nexus 5500 series Switch GB uplink capabilities provide strong investment protection and wide choice for end-to-end 40G solutions. The new Nexus 5500 40GE module enables customers to deploy 40GE uplink in their existing Nexus 5500 to reduce the problem of excessive purchase. The new Nexus 2248PQ switch provides a 10GE rack top matrix extender with 40GE uplink.

Extended Exchange Matrix

Influenced by a variety of factors, many enterprises can not make full use of the advantages of cloud resources. These include the security risks of the carrier cloud, the complexity of deployment, and the inability to easily manage enterprise and carrier cloud workloads through a single interface. To address this hybrid Cloud Challenge, Cisco offers a unique technology in the Nexus 1000V distributed virtual switches to support the handling of enterprise workloads in the telecommunications carrier cloud, while providing a single point of management and excellent security.

Nexus 1000V Intercloud can effectively coordinate a mixed cloud environment, extending the enterprise environment to an operator cloud with outstanding simplicity and industry-leading security. Nexus 1000V Intercloud maintains existing network capabilities and layer fourth to seventh services, while extending the manageability of the enterprise environment into the carrier cloud to support the creation of a consistent, reliable and predictable environment for physical, virtual, and cloud workloads, Enable IT managers to safely run and move applications. The solution offers a wide range of carrier cloud choices, and does not need to rely on a management program at run time.

Cisco Virtual Network Management Center (VNMC) Intercloud offers a variety of new features, including a single policy point for network services in enterprise and carrier domains, the ability to manage the lifecycle of a virtual machine using multiple hypervisor in a mixed cloud, and the ability to manage multiple carrier clouds through APIs.

Open Exchange Matrix

Cisco's Open Network environment (Cisco one), launched in June 2012, offers an industry-perfect way to leverage network, programmability, and application-aware capabilities. Cisco one supports the flexibility of customizing the network infrastructure based on applications to help enterprise and carrier customers achieve their business goals, including improving service speed, optimizing resources, and speeding up the revenue-generating speed of new services.

The new Cisco one software controller provides a highly available and scalable architecture, the industry's first multi-protocol interface with a Platform Kit (ONEPK) and OpenFlow, consistent management capabilities, rich troubleshooting and security features, and built-in applications. These applications contain network partitioning to support logical partitioning of network resources. In addition, one controller will interact with Cisco network applications such as custom forwarding and receptacle tapping.

Nexus 3000, Nexus 7000, and ASR 9000 provide extended platform support for the Cisco ONEPK Developer Environment.

Solutions for overlay networks include: Nexus 1000V supporting Vxlan gateways, Nexus 1000V supporting Microsoft Hyper-V, and integrating Microsoft System Center VM Manager; and a virtual network Analysis module (VNAM) that supports network analysis and control of virtualization and cloud workloads.

Nexus 3000, Nexus 7000, ASR 9000, and Catalyst 6500 provide extended platform support for OpenFlow.

Cisco one service includes customer network strategy Exchange workshops, proof-of-concept and global technical support. These new services enable customers to gain insight into existing infrastructure, identify technical challenges, and develop practical roadmap to drive successful adoption of Cisco one solutions.
