September 17 News, according to foreign media reports, Cisco to acquire cloud service provider Metacloud, the specific terms of the deal has not been disclosed. But Cisco said the move would push the Intercloud interconnection cloud project to an accelerated pace.

Cisco issued the following statement:

The Metacloud cloud platform based on OpenStack will accelerate Cisco's strategic process of building the world's largest interconnected cloud Intercloud. Intercloud is designed to create a global, security-level cloud platform that meets the strong needs of the IoT by working with key partners to efficiently respond to customer requests. (xi Chen)
