What kind of changes will the Government bring to the service under cloud computing?

In the past, the government is serving the public. But this kind of service, formerly mainly labor-intensive service. The provision of services by private servants, such as the mouth of a civil servant and two legs, can be said to be a small production on the service.

Services to cloud computing can be seen as IaaS, PAAs, and SaaS, which is equivalent to providing infrastructure for services, "plant" (platform) and "Device" (software). The service is expected to be from unarmed small production, a step forward to have the capital goods armed with the threshold.

The good news is that many local governments in China are also actively exploring new ways to promote e-government in the WEB2.0 era, and many government networks are being strengthened in service functions. For example, the government website of Guangzhou, is actively exploring personalized, user-friendly services. If we can keep up with the trend of cloud computing, our e-government can keep pace with the times.

Second, why cloud computing makes it wet for businesses.

Cloud computing in the wet, mainly refers to the commercial ecosystem in the sense of the wet. Ecology is wet, and cloud computing is becoming wetter because of its ecology. That makes sense.

IDG and CA recently jointly released a new research report on "It plays a new role in cloud computing". One of the main ideas is that the IT role is evolving into a supply chain.

This supply chain is the business ecosystem in which the enterprise is in. In the past it, more focused on its own enterprise, ears. Now, nearly half (48%) of CIOs are "increasingly putting it as supply chain management", with two eyes fixed on the outside.

As the report notes: "When applications, infrastructure, and even business processes are migrated to the cloud, it organizations can become more efficient supply chain managers, which will make it a business growth driver and value the company's business." ”

Think about it, more and more IT organizations will become the same as Alibaba's supply chain managers, the entire supply chain is on the cloud, into a wet ecosystem. Once this is realized, value-added business (such as shopkeepers) in the end can focus on the marginal business of their director and maximize the value added at the lowest cost.

Of course, this report also has blind spots. For example, in addition to the supply chain, the value chain can be wet with clouds. Combining the vertical supply chain with the horizontal value chain is exactly the value network mentioned in "Open growth". This is more comprehensive. For example, SNS between enterprises, but also an important form of wet, it includes wet marketing, workplace services, and more. LinkedIn has recently been listed as wet.

Finally, to point out a detail, in the United States, both Government and enterprise, all mentioned cloud migration. This reminds me of the picture of the geese migrating to the wet south.
