Cloud computing architecture landed, middleware integration challenges appear

Cloud computing has been driving the growth of data integration in full swing, but it is surprising that 65% of the integration work is still localized, the above point of view from Lance Speck, a company's integrated general manager. Many vendors were excluded from the data integration tools in Gartner Magic Quadrant last year and in 2009 Talend became the first open source data integration vendor to appear in the Magic Quadrant. Since then no new vendors have been added. During this period, foreign mainstream data integration solutions providers such as Sybase, Pitney Bowes Business Insight, ETI, and Open Text all fell apart for different reasons.

The most significant changes are: metadata management capabilities; changes in the scope of data integration style; and data quality interactivity ... Furthermore, there have also been many mergers and acquisitions in this area, such as the acquisition of Business Objects in SAP2007 and the acquisition of Sybase last year.

The decrease in the number of manufacturers in the Magic Quadrant is also related to their inability to match market trends, such as multiple data delivery styles, richer metadata management, and more. Subtle changes have taken place in those enterprises that still exist in the quadrant, for example, IBM, Informatica, Oracle and SAP are based on the leadership of the quadrant.

As the cloud computing architecture landed, middleware integration challenges emerged. In the early days of cloud application integration, so-called integration-centric cloud computing focused on "IaaS," "PaaS," or "integrated platform as a service (iPaaS) Including a wide range of middleware services, work for successful cloud integration.
