Cloud Desktop: Eyeos Release Professional Edition

Eyeos is now the world's leading cloud desktop, is also one of the largest open source projects in Europe, currently Eyeos has received more than 1 million downloads. IBM has chosen as its preferred open source cloud computing platform. The company completed its first round of financing in June 2011, and in September just launched its first commercial license, Eyeos Professional Edition.

Eyeos Cloud Desktop helps users to display, organize, and manage their own data, files, and applications anytime, anywhere.

The Eyeos Professional Edition provides a corporate-level virtualized user workspace where users can fully control the data located under the Eyeos private cloud. Users can access their workspaces from any device, while all their data and files are synchronized and backed up in a single place in the company. This not only improves access efficiency, it can also significantly save it costs. The Eyeos Mobile solution is also a private cloud where users can do their work on their mobile devices, while calendars, contact lists, emails and files will be synchronized to the cloud.

The newly released Professional edition introduces the following new features:

eyerun– local run, cloud storage

Web applications are often insufficient to support the processing of certain special files and data. Eyerun Open cloud files by using local applications that are already installed on the client PC, Mac, or Linux system to get the performance of Microsoft Word,excel and PowerPoint or any other large program, and the processed files will be saved to the cloud. No trace is left on the client PC.

eyesync– offline mode with cloud Backup

Eyeos Professional Edition allows users to sync all files that use devices to the cloud, and changes to files are automatically synchronized. Users can also choose to manually manage synchronized files, or even limit the synchronization of only one directory and its corresponding subdirectories.

eyecal– Seamless link Calendar with collaboration features

Eyeos Professional Edition is equipped with a CALDAV server, eyecal is a calendar application that makes it easy for users to keep track of their own schedules. Users can also sync the root calendar information on the CalDAV to the calendars of other devices, or even to their usual calendar programs. Eyecal is not just a personal calendar application: It is a collaborative tool with a full set of functions, as well as file sharing and chat functions. For example, when a leader or administrator sets a schedule, all team members receive an automatic calendar update.

eyechat– Real-time collaborative communication

Eyecha as an installation-free cloud IM tool, users can access applications from any location to achieve mobility. As a result, employees can switch to work equipment, and keep in touch with colleagues anytime, anywhere.

viewer– view files on any device

The Eyeos Professional Edition allows users to easily view files without having to open them with the appropriate program, redesigning and optimizing the file Viewer, and improving the experience of viewing files on a mobile device.

mobile– access services from any device

Mobile features allow users to use Eyeos from any device, such as a smartphone or tablet, and do not need to install any plug-ins. Users can easily watch videos stored on Eyeos on their mobile phones! The mobility feature also allows users to share files from any location through a URL, creating a link that allows a third party to download.
