January 6, 2013-The US Las Vegas-International Consumer Electronics Fair (CES)-nvidia® announced today that six of the world's leading cloud gaming companies are planning to use the nvidia®grid™ cloud gaming platform to provide gaming services to global broadband companies.

Whether it's smart TVs, PCs, tablets, or smartphones, the NVIDIA GRID platform enables High-performance gaming PCs to interact smoothly and seamlessly on any screen and anywhere.

NVIDIA GRID is a server designed to simultaneously provide 36 times times more HD-level game streams than the first generation of cloud gaming systems and reduce latency. It combines with high-density NVIDIA®GPU, dedicated graphics application streaming software, and nvidia®vgx™hypervisor technology to allow multiple users to share a single GPU.

The original partners on the NVIDIA GRID platform are Agawi (USA), Cloud Alliance Technology (China), Boyun Technology (China), G-cluster Global (Japan), Playcast Media Bae (Israel) and Yourzine (Taiwan).

"By leveraging the Nvidia GRID platform, our partners will allow gamers to play games anytime, anywhere, without being tied to the chassis," says Phil Eisler, general manager of Nvidia Cloud games. Players can now easily play the most exciting games in the world, as easily as streaming a movie on a TV or mobile device. You no longer need any discs, and no longer need to download and install any files. Just click to play the game. ”

Most dense GPU architecture, broadest compatibility, best interactivity

Consumers have enjoyed the advantages of cloud computing in terms of email and photo storage and streaming music and movies. Built on this functionality, the NVIDIA GRID platform is designed to move high-end gaming experiences to the cloud, allowing consumers to no longer need to manage game discs or connect their consoles to flat-screen TVs.

The NVIDIA GRID platform has three main features:

The most dense GPU architecture: Nvidia GRID employs multiple GPU servers and a complex NVIDIA VGX GPU sharing technology that provides the largest number of interactive data streams at the same time. Each server provides up to 36 channel game streams.

Broadest compatibility and scalability: NVIDIA GRID software and drivers can interactively provide a variety of games in a streaming manner, from casual games with less graphical features, to high density game flow, to high-performance games that require a large number of graphics features.

Best interactivity: NVIDIA GRID provides streaming content that enables seamless interaction without significant latency or delay. Compared to previous solutions, NVIDIA GRID technology can reduce server latency by up to 30 milliseconds, effectively hiding network transmission time. The gaming experience on the NVIDIA GRID server feels as if it came from a video game machine next to the TV.

Partners are enthusiastic about the NVIDIA GRID platform

The emerging six companies in the cloud gaming services industry are committed to providing services based on the NVIDIA GRID platform:

"Consumers love the convenience of playing any game anywhere, so the cloud gaming experience is the result of a natural evolution of the game experience."
