Cloud storage exposes security vulnerabilities, Dropbox pause link sharing

Recently Dropbox confirmed that there are loopholes in its file sharing mechanism, which may cause security problems, so recently suspended the original link with hyperlinks to the use of document sharing, and to begin to repair the vulnerability 〿/p>

According to Dropbox's statement, there are security implications for document sharing in the following scenarios _/p>

Dropbox user-Shared documentation contains a hyperlink address to a Third-party Web site _/p>

If both users of the shared link click on the hyperlink address, the original share link will be directed to the third party website;

People with access to the site's home page are able to access files that were originally encrypted and shared by sharing links 〿/p>

Fortunately, Dropbox says there is no feedback on the problem caused by the vulnerability. For security reasons, Dropbox completely pauses the sharing of documents containing hyperlinks, and then re-enable the feature after days of repair--sharing other documents as usual 〿/p>

Cloud storage has facilitated the increasingly pervasive society of many devices, but security has also raised concerns. This is not the first time a security breach has occurred in cloud storage 〿/p>

Dropbox, which has already valued tens of billions of dollars, supports its high valuations as a broad prospect of its foray into the corporate market from the personal cloud storage market. Enterprise Services require higher security than personal storage, and Dropbox needs to do more in this area 〿/p>
