Cloudera free Hadoop

Recently, Cloudera has launched its first business version of Hadoop, a server product that can store gigabit capacity information. A spokesman for the company said Hadoop was already a successful product and applied to companies such as Google,yahoo, Facebook and others. "It is almost natural to publish the commercial version of the product."

"After Facebook, Google and Yahoo and other companies using large Hadoop development tools, we are beginning to realize that people want Hadoop to be easier to install, configure, and manage." "We make it easier for everyone to store and process large amounts of data that are the same data types that big companies use in their businesses," said Christophe Bisciglia, founder of Cloudera and former Google Hadoop Cluster Administrator.

To make Hadoop's Cloudera distribution easier to install and use, Cloudera today launched a new portal called my.cloudera.com. In this site, developers and users can use web-based configuration tools to create packages and make them more compatible with their specific application requirements, and the individual settings cluster can be saved in the Web site for Automatic Updates.

The Hadoop Distributed file system is fault tolerant, and is based on the assumption that the hardware errors occur frequently and has the ability of fast detection. The MapReduce feature of the product divides the application into small portions of the work to better automate the ability to perform and execute in large clusters. Hive is a data storage architecture, built on top of Hadoop, providing users and developers with tools for analyzing, data-counting, and querying. In the last is Pig,hadoop, a platform for analyzing large amounts of data, expressing data analysis programs in high-level languages.

Hadoop is written in Java, so it can be run on all Java-enabled platforms. Even so, about 90% of companies apply it to a Linux environment with 64-bit hardware.

Cloudera Hadoop is free and will be distributed under the Apache 2 software license. The product will be packaged as a prepackaged rpm on a Red Hat Linux system or Amazon EC2 image, a company spokesman said.
