To meet the national energy security and market demand, CNOOC, PetroChina and Sinopec 3 large state-owned enterprises to accelerate the pace of oil exploration and development. Zhou Showei said that the Bohai Sea accumulated proven crude oil reserves of 3.36 billion cubic meters, with 50 million tons of capacity to build the reserves base, but 2007 years of production is less than 20 million tons. "CNOOC will increase investment in the Bohai region, together with PetroChina and Sinopec, in 2020 will increase the Bohai oil production to 52 million tons, of which the production of CNOOC will account for more than 4/5." At the same time, in equipment manufacturing and related industrial chain, CNOOC will invest 20 billion yuan in the construction of deepwater marine engineering equipment manufacturing base in Zhuhai, further extending the development of marine oil and natural gas industry chain in Guangdong Province, developing equipment manufacturing, offshore service base, natural gas liquefaction, natural gas chemical industry and non natural gas by-product processing.
