Netdump requires at least one server and any number of clients.
Server configuration:
1. Verify that the Netdump server is installed:
Rpm-q Netdump-server
If it is not installed, execute the command:
Up2date Netdump-server
For installation.
2. After the server package is installed, use the command:
passwd Netdump
Change the user's password.
3. Open the server:
Chkconfig Netdump-server on
4. Running the server:
Service Netdump-server Start
Client Configuration:
1. Verify that the client is installed:
Rpm-q Netdump
If the Execute command is not installed:
Up2date Netdump
Installation.
2. Edit the file/etc/sysconfig/netdump and add the following line:
netdumpaddr=192.168.0.5
&http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/37954.html ">NBSP; *
o 192.168.0.5 refers to the server address.
3. Enter the following command and password when the prompt appears:
Service Netdump Propagate
4. Open the client:
Chkconfig Netdump on
5. Run the client:
Service Netdump Start
All incoming SYSRQ commands are sent over the network to the Netdump server and stored in the/var/crash directory. The Netdump file name produced by the default is Vmcore.
