Shippable, a continuous integration start-up, has just won a 8 million dollar a round of funding.

Shippable was founded in 2013, headquartered in Seattle, currently employs 14 people. Shippable provides continuous integration services. Continuous integration (CI) refers to the early discovery of project risks and quality issues through frequent integration in software development. In order to improve the efficiency of integration work, software developers often use automated compilation, release and testing tools for integration, known as CI servers. Shippable provides CI cloud services.

Recently, in order to expand the enterprise market, Shippable began to sell services to its own data center organizations, let them start their continuous integration practices locally. At present, there are more than 20,000 users and more than 2,500 organizations using shippable services.

Using a container can help shippable quickly scale these virtual test labs based on the load.
