Daoliyun CEO: Private cloud is not cloud computing

Dr. Mao stressed that all human things are owned from property, from ownership to service, the public cloud is a service, there is no private cloud concept.

He believes that if you consider a private cloud environment, the environment has a user-owned data center, and today's traditional it, this is the enterprise's assets, not services, so it can not be called the cloud, in such a private cloud environment, does not have much security problems.

However, Dr Mao stressed that the nature of cloud computing was to let it and users go, and that users did not need to focus on what infrastructure the cloud was using in the IT sector, and that users were focused only on the ability to use the cloud.

The most important thing about cloud computing, he says, is not data centers, where users don't care about how computing is implemented and how storage is implemented after connecting to the cloud.

And, Dr. Mao said, any economic entity, small and medium-sized enterprises in quantity must occupy an absolute advantage, at least to reach more than percent, such enterprises to use it, must not deploy the "private cloud" solution, the public cloud is their only choice, but also the real definition of cloud computing.

Finally, Dr. Mao also stressed that the cloud is a service, there is no private cloud, only the public cloud, the public cloud is cloud computing.

It is not hard to see that from the infrastructure level, the public cloud and the private cloud are not fundamentally different, the underlying architecture of the two sides is basically consistent, slightly different in nuance, by such standards, cloud computing into public cloud, private cloud and mixed cloud is understandable. If we interpret cloud computing as cloud computing, then the private cloud is clearly one of the cloud computing.

If we narrow down the definition and think of the cloud as a service that the service enterprise can give up when it is used, then it seems that only the public cloud can count on this defined cloud.
