From large data production to large data analysis, from large data all-in-one to large data cloud services, from Internet to IoT, Microsoft's Big Data product strategy revolves around large data business values.
Microsoft released a series of large data products and services this week, designed to help users get useful results from growing data. Microsoft points out that the data is cash and that a new series of products will help customers create more than 1 trillion dollars of new revenue over the next four years.
Microsoft's new large data products and services include SQL Server2014, the "Big Data Box" APS Analysis Platform System (Analytics Platform system, a large data integration machine that consolidates SQL Server and Hadoop), Microsoft has also announced a public preview of Azure Intelligent System Services, a cloud-based data acquisition and management service. In February 2013, Microsoft revealed its business strategy to provide Hadoop, its learning, high-performance computing and Data Analysis Services on Azure.
The new big data products and services "combination boxing" has allowed Microsoft's big data strategy to surface, and Microsoft's new chief executive, Satya Nadella, has said several times since taking office that Microsoft's strategy is to "cloud first and move first" in the era of pervasive computing and environmental intelligence.
SQL2014 uses memory technology, performance is 30 times times faster than the previous version of the data processing speed, Microsoft COO Kevin Turner revealed that the Nasdaq stock Exchange after the use of SQL Server2014, some of the queries will take several days to be able to return results in minutes. Microsoft has also masked how memory technology has dramatically improved Web performance, and retail-dealer sites are increasingly reliant on user-referral systems, but the slow pace of recommended analytics can be a drag on the user experience.
Microsoft has also shown the front-end data visualization tool for large data analysis--office365 Power Bi,nadella the Power BI and Excel as "Data UI", while SQL Server and Azure form the back end of Microsoft's big data platform. Microsoft stresses that companies will not need data in the future. Scientists will be able to deploy large data analysis applications, and one of Microsoft's product strategies is to reduce the threshold for large data applications through technology such as natural language query, so that ordinary people can also play large data.
According to the IDC survey, Big data will generate more than 1.6 trillion dollars in new revenue for businesses over the next four years, reducing costs and increasing productivity. Nadella revealed that Microsoft has begun reaping the rewards of big data businesses, with SQL Server products earning more than 5 billion dollars a dollar, and Excel has become the world's most popular, ubiquitous data analysis product.
