Data security improves Intel deep Hadoop

It is understood that Intel is continuing to build its software toolkit for the large data processing framework for Hadoop open source software, focusing on the security and reliability features required by large enterprises.

Intel's Data Platform Toolkit will be available in the next quarter, including free self-help support for the Enterprise version and subscription fee versions. The premium version provides active security patches, regular enhancements, and real-time technical support functions.

Intel competes with companies such as Hortonworks and Cloudera in the commercial Hadoop market. Jason Fedder, managing director of channel, marketing and business operations at Intel's data center software department, says the rise of these vendors suggests that Hadoop is indeed at a crossroads. Linux only grows fast when companies start investing to enhance their capabilities, and it keeps its openness. The same thing is happening in big data fields.

Customers who choose the Intel Hadoop release and do not select other software will get Intel's stated benefits. These benefits include significantly improved performance because Intel software is optimized for Intel Xeon processors, solid-state hard disk storage, and networking.

Intel also uses the AES-NI (Advanced Encryption Standard new instruction) technology to provide faster data encryption and decryption capabilities in Hadoop. While upgrading security and reliability, the features of the data platform include optimizing data processing, iterative analysis, and graphic processing.

Fedder points out that users who want to understand Intel's intent on Hadoop should know one thing. The difference between Intel and other vendors is that Intel is not building an end-to-end solution. Instead, Intel wants to be the "operating system" for large data, allowing Third-party vendors and customers to create application tiers on the platform themselves.

Another problem with Hadoop's extensive application is the need for programmers and data scientists who can work with this low-level framework. As a result, Intel will also launch a new set of analysis tools in the second quarter to reduce the complexity associated with knowledge discovery and predictive modeling.
