David Feinleib: Good morning, everybody. I studied a little bit of Chinese, the last time to attend a Harvard conference in October, and then was invited by Mr. Tian, here to introduce a large data, of course, also want to introduce me to this book is called "Large Data Cloud", has been published in China.
I spent a lot of time looking at trends, and it was on Wall Street that everyone was very concerned about the trend of your friends. What do you mean? It means you spend some time in one or four of these areas. Do some research, you might raise some money, you might get a client, you can also attract talent, which is obviously very important for a growing business. I see four big areas, big data, mobile, cloud and social. It's interesting that in the past 5-10 years, these areas have been merging with each other, so we now have big data and cloud computing, and there is a lot of activity going on in these areas.
Here is the big Data cloud, I show you some companies in Silicon Valley enterprises, they are in the large data work. Take a few minutes to tell us about the areas of their activities and the direction of their future development. At the bottom of the slide is the infrastructure, which stores the data and lets you put the data in them. The slides are apps, these companies do things with data, and they analyze the data to help you make better decisions in the data.
The slide came because I had some conversations with more than 100 companies in the area of big data and in Silicon Valley. These people need to have a better understanding of how the relationship is achieved. Many VCs were initially at the infrastructure level, and these companies are also commercializing technology, the Open-source technology of Hadoop, which is more capital efficient when it comes to infrastructure and storage.
The next thing we call a big data application, a company that went public last year, was valued at 7 billion dollars. There are a lot of very valuable companies that can make us better at analyzing big data and doing things, and we'll see more activity in the future.
When I was speaking in China, a lot of people asked me to talk about this, there are no Chinese companies in the large data cloud, I would like to join the Chinese companies, or to do the Chinese large data cloud version. Let me introduce you to some of the parts that have been transformed through big data, including cloud computing, of course. For example, in American traditional retailers, they compete with each other, China has Alibaba, Taobao and so on, they are online retail, through large data they can become more intelligent, so as to sell products to customers when the intelligent.
There is also financial services, which is clearly a place for many capital gatherings. Financial services have a lot of it input into big data, and it allows us to get paid in the form of high-speed trading. How we combine large data and speed to be more competitive and fast to trade is faster than other financial institutions.

Online marketing is another interesting part. The example I use is the services we use with Google and so on. They used a lot of big data. I got my Emba degree at Stanford, with a paper book, no internet shopping, and now Amazon can do what I want to buy under my shopping habits, and Google can help me with my search. All of these technologies have a corresponding transformation of education, I also feel that in education you can have a lot of mobile technology, so that your learning experience more interactive, become more interesting. The company is mainly using these mobile technologies and large data to make education more personal, customized and interactive.
I have a lot to say about cloud computing and big data, and I'd like to spend some time talking about funding and financial innovation in these areas. For example, over the past five years, the infrastructure of large data has been developing. Large data infrastructure that means the storage of our data, how we deal with the data, but there will be many opportunities for innovation, and there are many areas of innovative products in the application of large data. Some companies in the United States, these companies often do a lot of business, is to use these data for analysis, to apply, for the enterprise he can make better decisions. So we can see more business opportunities in the field of large data application, there will be more capital for venture capital. More entrepreneurs are building businesses, such as vertical applications, and innovation in health care, education, and financial services.
Big Data has many opportunities for mergers and acquisitions. Like some of the bigger existing companies, there are opportunities for companies like China. For some large data applications of enterprises, the application of software companies are more interested in the acquisition can be.
