According to Dell Asia Pacific and Japanese company general manager Amit Midha in Wednesday, the new data center in Asia, will be first set up in India.

Last year, the company announced a plan to spend $1 billion to build 10 new data centers to meet the need for future cloud computing. The first Data center is located in Quincy, Washington.

In Asia-Pacific and Japan, Dell's revenue grew 10% per cent last year in the four quarter, with China's market growth particularly visible to 15%. The region's market grew 13% per cent throughout the fiscal year, and China grew by 20%.

In the last fiscal year, Dell recruited 1000 new employees in the region to expand its market and sales force. Of these, about 600 employees are focused on understanding and meeting user needs.
