A cloud desktop system based on video streaming is designed and implemented to realize the centralized management, efficient use and secrecy control of computer resources. The service side uses the common server and the VirtualBox virtualization tool to realize the desktop virtualization, the client uses the ARM platform based Freescale I.MX6DL processor to carry on the hardware decoding, In virtual desktop image compression, the improved H.264 Next generation video compression algorithm is applied to the transfer of the desktop video stream to smooth network traffic, and the Linux kernel module is used in the client's mouse keyboard message redirection. Compared with the Common Desktop transport Protocol, the test results show that when the virtual desktop resolution is 1 280x720, the system has a more stable desktop display effect, a lower network traffic of around KB, and the response time of Ms.
