Design and implementation of video monitoring system based on Hadoop

With the deepening of the Ping An China project, the public's demand for video surveillance is getting stronger. Camera and other video acquisition equipment, the clarity of the continuous increase in the number of monitors, video processing needs to improve, this and the traditional network video surveillance system architecture conflict. The rising cloud computing has opened up a new road for video surveillance, the cloud video monitoring system satisfies the requirement of large data calculation and storage, and solves the defects of traditional video surveillance system. The work of this paper is to build a large-scale high-definition video surveillance system on the basis of cloud computing technology. Firstly, this paper introduces the development of video surveillance technology and the bottleneck problem of video monitoring technology, introduces cloud computing, focuses on the HDFs and MapReduce of Distributed file system, and chooses the right technology based on the knowledge of Hadoop platform. The specific design and implementation of several functional parts of the monitoring system are given, including searching video, uploading video, storing video, video transcoding, downloading video, and finally function testing and analysis of the system.
