In view of the need of school bus safety monitoring, this paper proposes a comprehensive, continuous, real-time monitoring of a certain area of school bus safety solutions, and the use of sensor network technology and cloud computing technology, the design and development of school bus safety monitoring system; First, the overall structure and function of the system are introduced, Then the paper describes the software and hardware design method of the bus-mounted monitoring terminal and cloud computing platform in detail. Finally, the system test results of driver identity, drunk driving, overload alarm and child forgetting alarm are given. The test results show that the system can achieve the designed functions, and has the characteristics of stable operation, strong scalability and good maintainability.
