Significance The four global conferences of the United Nations have strengthened the international women's movement. With the growth of the international women's movement, Women's Day has gained global significance. These advances make IYF a day of solidarity and concerted efforts that call for women's rights and the participation of women in political, economic and social life.
Starting from the International Year of Woolhood 1975, the United Nations celebrated International Women's Day and recognized the tradition of ordinary women for equal participation in society. In 1997, the General Assembly adopted a resolution inviting each country to select one of the designated anniversaries of the United Nations for the rights of women and World Peace Day in accordance with its own history and national traditions. The United Nations initiative has led to the establishment of a national legal framework for the realization of equality between men and women and raised public awareness of the urgent need to advance the status of women in all its aspects.
In July 1962, the all-non-women's first congress held in Dar es Salaam, the All-Africa Women's Conference was established (now Pan African Women's Organization) and the annual July 30th was " African Women's Day. " The congress of this organization and major celebrations are held on this day. The Pan African Women's Organization is an all-non-governmental women's organization affiliated with the Organization of African Unity and enjoys "OAU" observer status. Formerly known as All-African Women's Conference, the founding assembly was held in Dar-es-Salaam in July 1962 at the initiative of Ghana, Guinea and Tanzania. In 1974 at the Fourth Congress changed its name now.

The establishment of the "Pan-African Women's Organization" has contributed to the all-round promotion of the worldwide women's liberation movement and accelerated the process of gender equality in the world, playing an important role in the world's economic development.
However, due to physiological structure and intense pressure of social competition, their own ability to resist pressure and other factors, women are still the disadvantaged groups in society. In addition, traditional beliefs in some areas have some restraint. Therefore, the social status and physical and psychological health of women have not yet Get the appropriate attention. Women's health has also been a social issue. Due to economic constraints in many areas, gynecological diseases and other issues have been plaguing women's lives.
Concerned about the health of women, the complete liberation of women both physically and mentally, from achieving a true equality between men and women in the political and customary concepts, creating a good atmosphere of social equality and creating a harmonious society of true equality between men and women has become urgent The problem.
