An energy efficiency model and measurement method in cloud computing environment

This paper presents an energy efficiency model and measurement method in cloud computing environment. Firstly, the mathematical expression of energy efficiency and its measurement and calculation method are defined, and the occurring conditions of maximum energy efficiency are deduced. Secondly, to facilitate the calculation of energy efficiency, the mathematical expression of the relationship between computer power and CPU working state is improved Use rate and frequency to calculate energy efficiency, this simplifies the measurement of energy efficiency. In addition, a large number of experiments have been designed and implemented to verify the correctness of the proposed energy efficiency model, and to evaluate the energy efficiency of the stand-alone environment, CPU-intensive, I/o-intensive and interactive operations in the cloud computing environment.
