Predicting cloud platform service performance trends with moving averages

System performance prediction provides a basis for predictive resource scheduling and is an important aspect of cloud platform management. The method of performance prediction is summarized from three aspects of data, processing and forecasting. In this paper, a moving average line method is proposed to predict the long-term development trend of service performance. Aiming at the problem that the prediction signal will be changed frequently in the performance small range fluctuation, this method is further improved and the standard deviation is introduced to effectively filter the jitter signal. The validity of the method is validated in the Amazon Elastic Computing cloud environment.
