In his writings explaining the phenomenon of suicide, Durkheim's "suicide" is one of the leaders. In his view, the meaning of life is established in the connection with society, once a person feels isolated by the group, showing the state of atomization, the likelihood of suicide will increase. So from this perspective, the characteristics of the Foxconn workers ' atomization determine their high suicide rate. On the other hand, this feature is also a major reason why Foxconn's business model has been able to succeed. Foxconn does not have an active staff union or an organization such as a staff club, so there is a lack of horizontal contact between workers and a tendency to have a simple social relationship, with no one in the dorm to even know each other. This feature allows Foxconn to take orders from major handset makers without fear of leaking trade secrets, a requirement that companies elsewhere in the world cannot achieve.
