North Korea on December 1, 2014 opened a new website, "North Korea Today", intends to attract more foreign tourists to visit the DPRK. Recently, the site has enabled dprktoday.com domain name online.
Yonhap reported that the new website "North Korea Today" will provide foreigners with detailed information on domestic tourist attractions, hotels and sightseeing projects through stories and video clips. In addition, the website also has the specific information regarding the flight route to the DPRK, at the same time instructs the foreign visitor how to contact with the travel agency which manages to go to the tour, smooth row. According to the North Korean media, the original purpose of the website was to meet the outside world's "growing interest and expectations."
According to the North Korean tourism industry, since 2013, the DPRK has built a ski resort of horse-rest ridge, embroidered swimming field, Merrill Lynch riding Club, the Victory Memorial of the Motherland War of Liberation, Song Tao Garden International Youth group Summer Camp and other international standards of cultural tourism facilities. Last June, the DPRK also decided to establish an "international tourism zone" in the National Scenic Area of Wonsan and the Jingang mountain area to attract countries to invest in the construction of modern hotel accommodation facilities.
