Cloud services, especially cloud storage, are now common Internet services. But some people point out that storing files on a cloud server, especially sensitive files, is not safe. Now, Dropbox has just gone through the cloud storage solution problem, giving these people a pretext, some of which are permanently deleted because of a bug in Dropbox.
Dropbox has confirmed that a bug in an older version of the desktop application could cause the file to be permanently deleted without the user's knowledge or consent. This bug exists as an old version of the "Selective Sync" feature, which allows users to sync only important folders between computers.
The good news now is that Dropbox says they have fixed the bug in the new version and restored some of the deleted data to the user. Dropbox said they would compensate the affected clients.
