Recently, the online and mobile meal ordering company Eat24 updated its recently released Notes feature, which allows users to publish and share comments about dishes rather than just restaurants, providing a better platform for users to exchange ideas, according to the new mobile discovery. Eat24 has introduced social-note functions across the United States.
The company is now applying for a patent, and Eat24 notes are further expanded in the "Yelp review" of the existing Eat24 Cooperative restaurant, which allows users to discover and create comments about their liking or not recommending certain dishes.
"Using Eat24 notes, you don't need to read 5 pages of comments, you can quickly find out what your neighbors like about Thai dishes and what kind of sushi rolls you should avoid," Eat24 co-founder Nadav Sharon said.
Eat24 notes can also be viewed as a personal tasting diary that allows users to record the type of dishes they have already tasted.
With the addition of new features, Eat24 is able to compete more effectively with other food evaluation and referral service providers such as Foodspotting, forkly, tasted menu, Foodee, and Appetude.
Eat24 said the notes could be used in more than 20,000 restaurants in 750 U.S. cities.
