Beijing time September 22 afternoon news, according to foreign media reports, in Taiwan and the mainland signed the ECFA (Cross-strait Economic Cooperation Framework agreement), including HP and Taiwan authorities signed a letter of intent, the total investment amount of about 3.2 billion U.S. dollars. The two-Strait ECFA agreement, signed in June this year, is expected to greatly boost economic exchanges between the two sides. In signing the letter of intent, Hewlett-Packard said HP planned to upgrade its regional research and Development center in Taiwan to become a global innovation center, promote Taiwan as HP's global hub for research and development, and continue to work closely with domestic research institutions in the United States. The United States Supermicro computer also bullish on Taiwan's investment potential after the signing of the ECFA, planning future investment in Taiwan to establish a green IT research and development center.
