Eleven-Five Urban residents ' family Engel coefficient down 1%

The National Bureau of Statistics released today the "Eleven-Five" economic and social Development Achievements Series report pointed out that "Eleven-Five" period, urban residents consumption overall upgrade, all kinds of consumer spending are growing trend.　　The consumption structure has changed, as the basic survival needs of food, clothing and other categories of consumption as a proportion of total consumer spending tends to be basically stable, and transport and communications, household equipment supplies and services accounted for the proportion of expenditure gradually increased.　　Data show that 2010 urban residents per capita consumption expenditure of 13471 yuan, compared to 2005 7943 yuan growth of 69.6%, excluding price factors, real growth of 48.1%, the average annual real growth of 8.2%. During the "Eleven-Five" period, the food consumption of urban residents increased steadily. 2010 Urban residents per capita food expenditure of 4805 yuan, an increase of 64.9% in 2005, an annual growth of 10.5%. Food expenditure as a proportion of consumer spending (Engel coefficient) fell from 36.7% in 2005 to 35.7% in 2010, down 1%. The decline of Engel's coefficient marks the further improvement of living standard of urban residents.
