Through this agreement, LG u+ will be able to support the existing CDMA network and 4G LTE mobile service network, thus becoming the first in Korea to provide faster data transmission rate and better service quality of the LTE service provider. As the industry leader in mobile network design, deployment, integration and support services, Ericsson will help LG U+ formally launch the LTE business in South Korea in July 2011. Under the contract, Ericsson will be responsible for the construction of the LTE network for the 25 million population in the Seoul and metropolitan area, as well as the evolving cluster core network, the LTE base station and the optical fiber repeater for access and transmission.
