Europe Research and Development virtual Interactive system immersive experience large data

The project created an immersive, multimodal interactive system, the experience induction machine (Xim). Researchers use this virtual reality technology to enable users to "experience" the Big Data "immersive". Once the user begins to wear the virtual reality headset of the Xim system, the collection data is displayed in different shapes or forms, which helps to reduce the difficulty of understanding the data.

This visual scene, like a mirror, can change as the user reacts. If something interesting attracts the attention of the user, the focus of the scene will adjust. Interestingly, the virtual scene does not necessarily refer to the user's conscious response, and the researcher is looking for clues that the scene can change with the subconscious.

The Ceeds project plans to use wearable techniques to measure people's response to large, visualized data. The Xim system monitors gestures, eye movements, or heart rates through a variety of devices. Motion sensors track posture and body movements. Gloves record hand movements and measure grip and skin reactions. Voice devices detect the emotional characteristics of a user speaking. In addition, the system measures facial expressions, pupil dilation and other parameters to adjust the presentation of large data.
