After a series of investigations, CCP decided to shut down the server again to find out the source of the problem. The final CCP announcement resulted in the loss of items due to an error in the database script that was responsible for reclaiming the old item ID from the junk and assigning the Recycle ID to the new item. As a result, some of the newly generated items in the database were not able to get IDs, so nature disappeared in the system. According to CCP, about 114,000 items were lost in the 75-minute period since the server was powered down. After identifying the problem, CCP assured the player that the bug had little impact and that 114,000 items accounted for 0.0071% of the total number of items.
