A wide range of features, the most popular cross-platform note-taking service Evernote recently acquired penultimate, which is a beautiful, hand-smooth drawing and handwritten notes application. Penultimate itself is also ranked as the fourth best selling list in the application. What does this acquisition mean for penultimate and its users? First of all, good news, of course. Penultimate will still be an independent application, just like Evernote once acquired (like Skitch). Second, a combination with Evernote will certainly bring some new features, including Full-text search and synchronization. Another good news is that penultimate will add the store-ink technology to other products of Evernote. It seems to be a delightful acquisition. Penultimate will be better, Evernote. And no one will be bought by Facebook. This is the third win situation.
