Recently, the Israeli financial newspaper Calcalist reported that Facebook has new trends, is currently working with facial recognition technology company Face.com to negotiate acquisitions.
According to the Science and technology blog site Newsgeek reported that Facebook bought Face.com's bid between 80 million to 100 million U.S. dollars.
In 2009, Face.com released a free application photo tagger, which uses facial recognition technology to automatically identify people's photos, and a reminder service based on facial recognition technology. In 2010, Face.com released the API (Application programming Interface), allowing Third-party developers to use their technology in their applications.
There have been rumours that Facebook was interested in acquiring Face.com but was rejected because of low bids.
Since announcing the $1 billion purchase of photo-sharing apps in April this year, Facebook has entered the Instagram, and has acquired social discovery Services Glancee and social gift karma.
