The Poke feature has been on Facebook since 2004, allowing users to easily greet friends anytime, anywhere. With this app installed, Facebook users can "poke" friends, or send messages, photos or videos, and easily share interesting content with them.

Users can "poke" multiple friends at the same time. Each poke message disappears within the user's set time, such as 1 seconds, 3 seconds, 5 seconds, or 10 seconds. Once the time runs out, the message disappears from the Poke application. To see the poke message sent by a friend, the user can hold it down until the time has gone.
